First of May,

I have this love-hate relationship with long weekend holiday. Everyone is cuti-cuti Malaysia-ing making the road freaking jam and long queue everywhere, yet it's the only time for the family to do short trip like this. :3

Day 1: KL - Teluk Intan - Bidor - Ipoh

We took 4 hours to reach our first destination. Honestly nothing much to see at Teluk Intan except the Leaning Tower but they do have some nice local food, one of them is the famous Liew Kee chee cheong fun - I must say it's really delish! Not the common chee cheong fun we have at KL. Beside that we also accidentally bump into this stall name Do Re Mi @ Glutton Square, which offers really nice Ice Kacang - my personal fav is the one with melon flavour, perfect remedy for this hot weather :) Well, we did stop by Bidor for their famous duck noodles but it's sold out - it's alright I do not take duck nor noodles :p

These pretty sum up thing to see & eat at Teluk Intan.

Day 2: Ipoh - Cameron Highland

We stayed at Ipoh for a night. Morning went for dim sum @ Foh San Restaurant - everyone gonna wait and find your own table and it took us around 30mins to sit and then queue again for the dim sum. Dim sums are average with varieties but siu mai isn't so impressive, worth trying but without this long-waiting time. After that we went for Ipoh white coffee @ Sin Yoon Loong - parents' preference, a lil too sweet for me thou, shall order less sweet next time, they do serve nice caramel custard pudding too, yums. After filling the stomach we visited the new (actually for sometimes ady) wall art mural by Ernest Zacharevic - there are seven of them, I'm still amazed how could he made the mural so 3D-ish. It started to rain right after we visited the last mural - perfect timing, we headed to one of the it-cafe at town - Burps & Giggles for some coffee chilling time - I like the interior of the cafe, basically every corner can be your selfie corner :D

We took some really nice pictures at the old town :)

Day 3: Cameron Highland - Ipoh - KL

The journey to Brinchang is terrible, jam at Cameron is unavoidable as there is only one main road and to make it worse, all the markets & place to visit are located right beside the main road. By the time we reached the town it's ady midnight. Luckily we still manage to have steamboat to comfort the stomach - soup is average but vege is really fresh here, anyway having hot soup in such a cooling weather is still a bliss :) It's a sunny morning on the next day, weather still a lil chillin and we love it. We bought lotsa strawberries and vege and flowers at the market. Still lotsa people visiting Cameron as the next day still holiday - luckily we're leaving, I can foresee that the jam can only be worse than last night :/ We went for tea before leaving - we were lucky enough to have a really good view table this time - I'm happy girl. And yea we even found the worker's cafe at the tea plantation - the pakcik is really friendly chitchatting with us about the massive jam but the teh he made is really.... way toooo sweet lar! It started to drizzle again when we left, the road downhill was so foggy that some people even stop the car at the side of the road just to take pic. We went to Ipoh for dinner before heading home. It's still crowded everywhere and even the highway also partly jam. Overall it's still nice to spend some times with the family, and the sweetest thing is - Genie's waiting by the door when we reached home :)

The left bottom pic doesn't look like cameron isn't it :p

Well, holiday's over and I'm looking forward for the next, opps, I mean I'll start the engine to study now :D

Self grounded at home so I'm so free to write this post :/

Till then.

Penang,

It's all about food, the now-everyone-must-take photo-murals, and some relaxing time with the family :) Travelling during public holiday is big no-no for me, people mountain people sea everywhere we go, traffic jam, queue up for table and food and take photo (and seriously some people dunno how to QUEUE). Honestly I'm so not likey it, yet the family member may only travel together during this peak period, so yea, I'm taking this. Despite the annoying crowd, the foods are still good, and we were quite lucky few times in gettin seats in the restaurant :p Plus we have visited few nice cafe, which is my fav. Further, I'm so satisfied to throw myself into the nice swimming pool and bathtub :) So I shall conclude that I'm happy with the trip, after all time with family is the most important thing right!

Clockwise from the top left : the famous Penang road laksa, char kway teow, chendol and rojak; hearts this lil kitty mural; recent addiction - chasing korean drama in the middle of night, with tea and snacks ; bubbly bath time <3

How fast the time passes, it's ady mid-aug now! Arrrgh, time management!!

Happie Father's Day,

(Consider myself taking a short break for an evening family outing, it's been while, I miss the Sunday times with family, sobs.)

I could never find any greater dad in this world who loves us so unconditionally, I Love You Papa :) 'nuff said.

Finally got to try that famous colourful xiu long bao, not too impressive thou. But the ramen and fried rice are good enough, and the fish fishy are yums, so yea quite a satisfied one :)

Top: Special thanks to big bro for the free new Uniqlo Airism top, chose a simple black top, can go with any of my colourful/prints bottoms, and I must say it's really cooling when I'm wearing it.
Bottom: Intended to used my RM50 H&M vouchers at the last day but *ahem* I ended up coming back with more, as usual. Prints are current obsession, but oh B L A C K dresses again?!

and I like it R E D recently. :*

This's gonna be a real short updates :p

Last Thursday,

I always know that losing a younger daughter is a forever pain to mommie. I've learnt not to mention or question anything about my lil sis in front of mom, nor of the family, since the younger age. The main reason is, mom will cry, despite it was years ago. I used to cry too, when I thought of her, but the picture only remains at her 2-years-old, the moment she started to lose her hair. As the years go by, I've stop reminiscing her as frequent as before, no more crying everytime i talk about her anymore. I've moved on but i guess mom still not. She told us about her dream that she has kept in heart for so long, that she saw grandma who had passed away, taking away her lil daughter because she owes her money. Mommie said that the debtor was actually another aunty not her. When she tried to explain to grandma in the dream, another ancestor came out and back up mom, ask the grandma to give back my lil sis, and she agreed. I know it sounds ridiculous, but that was the time my mom's pregnant with my youngest bro. Moreover, the death anniversary of grandma and my lil sis are on the same day, what a coincidence isn't it.

It has been some times that i think of my lil sis again, I used to imagine how's the feeling of having a sister, we'd be sharing the room definitely, clothes perhaps? After all I'm 6 years older than her. Would we be talking a lot or about the guys we like? Or maybe we'd just fight to be the princess at home or get jealous on each other ? Heh. That'd be quite different from having a younger bro, i know :)

Oh sis, you've got me puffy eyes tomorrow.

I'm quite sure that I'd love you sis,

Just an ordinary Tuesday.

As my whitey's cam not working again, I've sent my phone back to KLCC Maxis Centre (as the Gardens one turned me down). This time I met a nicer guy which told me that they will replace a new one for me, hmm, thou I'm happy to get a new phone yet I was a little bit blue about giving in my whitey, always too sentimental i know, it's always hard for me to abandon anything that once belonged to/ with me. Oppps, a little bit out of topic :p anyway it's gonna takes 7 to 14 days for the replacement thus in the meantime I'm not using the hp number so yep, please look for me in fb :3

Besides, mommie was along with me all day and we had great times, from late brunch to talks to shopping to talks to coffeetime to talks again. We actually went into almost all the branded stores and checking up all the bags, heh fun times. I guess one thing I've been doing good lately is to be more patient to the parents, who else would love you so unconditionally like the parents do, I must be really blessed to be brought to this family, so I'm appreciating everything they give to me, and i'm giving them the best of me too.

Why would I be rush to seek someone else's hand when I can actually hold my parent's tight :)

I can't really decide which make my day the most

Tonight dinner was a lil bit crowded cause dad's big bro (大伯) was coming town with the whole family, which included the sis-in-law, bro-in-law and the little new born baby niece, what a big family. It's like a mini family reunion cause 三伯's family was joining us for dinner too, another good times :) The baby niece is so keeeeewt as she keeps on demanding people (which she chose) to carry her, you can hear her baby murmur just somehow make me love her more *heart melts* and she just loves my long hair which she'd be holding/playing with the little fingers whenever i carry her :) I'd probably see her again when we balik kampung, so okie, we'll have the little baby to play in this coming CNY.

Can't show you her keeeeeewt face as my phone is gone, sobs. But i'm showing you my naughty face before i call it a day.
Tired face i know, after a day long.

Thank god for giving me such a great day*
Good night *hugsie

Simple day

Waking up at the time that i'll still be on the bed normally, a day out with brothers and mom. Kick start the morning with karaoke session, sing till your lungs out, and mom almost lost her voice. Linger in the bookstore, look for a book that is worth reading, as reading is always the all time favourite. Did a little shopping whereas brother was supposed to be the one who shop, i've got myself a top and jeans, not to forget a pair of wedges and flat slippers, oh no, shoes are so irresistible, i almost got the third pair of the day if mom did not stop me, hehe. And the dinner of the day, homemade korean bibimbap plus freshly squeezed orang juice, as my mom disallow us buying any bottled drinks due to the Taiwan plasticizer contaminated products incident. A day spent with the family, one fine day, could not ask for more :)

Life is busy..

Didn't really have the chance to spend time with my mac, has been busy throughout the weekend, and i guess this busyness will continue till the end of May.

Let's do some quick updates :)

Last friday was the last day of dear's finals, after so long we finally met up and it's kinda like small celebration of exam over for her :) As usual we did some chats and catch up, then at night hang of with Jw.  Korean food for dinner and instead of drinking, we went for a midnight movie, Water for Elephants, still couldn't get the ticket for Fast 5 >< Well, it is definitely not a movie for most of the guys i know, but i'm loving the story, plus Robert Pattinson is hot there!! There's only less than 10 people in the cinema and it's so damn cold that dear and i gonna share a small piece of cardigan just to keep us slightly warmer for a short period cause we took turns to wear it!! And the climax of the night is, we couldn't find the way out to the parking, not familiar with IOI and we did some exercises by walking down and climbing up the escalators. We ended up taking the cargo lift down to the ground floor, walking out from the goods unloading entrance, then walk all the way to the car parks, how funny!
7/10 in my very own opinion  + look at someone silly smile :p

Saturday is another catch up day, but before that, me and Jing and Yvo went to Midvalley for lunch and teatime, brought them to try Chatime, my recent favourite, always long queue at MV and the tea Yvo wanna try is finished! Then the evening was the time for my guys, an unofficial birthday celebration for KK, with Song and WL. After the free dinner *wink*, went for a drink at Zouk.... cafe, Song and I just wished it's not the cafe, aiksss ><

the day and night

Sunday is family day :) I still woke for the morning class ~hardworking mood~ but skipped the evening one as we were going back Malacca for a late-Mothers' Day celebration with grandma and aunts. It's been a long time that we could spend time together, like a family short trip. Even without DSLR, Chun and i still snapping pictures around with phones and surprisingly we have found good backgrounds as i mentioned in my previous post :) Looking at my still-healthy-families, there's really nothing much can make me happier at the moment.

On the way..

Monday was another catch-up day, meeting up with my long-time-no-see friend, Y.Ren. We went to MV again to surprise Yen, I can see her happy smiling face X) Without any plans, we really almost going to Kuala Selangor for fireflies at the evening, but it's raining *sobs* Well, we have no choice but to stay at Kay Elleee for dinner. An Italian dinner just swept away my tiny disappointment on fireflies, and the chats carry on from the dinner table to the bar of beers, small talks and some drinking games adding lotsa fun for us :)

Tuesday finally staying at home, spent some times with mom and had a good rest. When i thought this is the only day i could i stay at home, someone insist to meet up at night to discuss about the trip. Few days left to our trip, and by doing some research finally the feeling of excitement started to arise. Looking forward for it now.

Wednesday, a private birthday celebration for my dear, plan a day out for her, went for handmade coffees, a nice cafe, shopping the all time favourite, taking lotsa picsss. Basically, just eat and shop the whole day, nothing really special, what's really matter it's the time we spent and the things we did, and the happiness is within us :) Happy Belated Birthday my dear <3

Happy Mother's Day

We had an earlier celebration on Mother's day this year. As usual i'm the one doing the present-preparing and venue-deciding. Instead of the one day celebration, this year is more like a 3 days continuous of celebration. We have a formal one on saturday, dinner on sunday and a hanging out evening on monday. Tried lots of good food, mom should be happy, but i know that she's even happier for the time spending with her beloved children :)

I have to admit that, my mom is definitely not those super-cool mother. She's stubborn, never listen even i try to communicate with her. She's super long-winded, she can just non-stop complaining or scolding us when she dislike something about us. She's very conservative, she thinks girl would have to do all the housework but not the boys. Couldn't tell you how many times i'm mad at her, but no one is perfect in this world, so do you and me, all i know is, she's the one taking care of us all year long ever since we were born. She's the one waking up early everyday just to wake all of us up for classes and outings. She's the one keep thinking what to cook for tomorrow breakfast and dinner everyday, for the picky children. She's the one so stingy, not even willing to spend a cent on herself, yet she will buy anything which is necessary for us. She's the one always have faith in us even we have let her down few times, she's the one will be so proud for our success, she's the one always forgive for our mistakes, she's the one never stop worrying, she's the one never fail to be there when we needed suport, she's the one we can always rely on as she will never betray our trusts. She's the one wanting the best for her children, she's the one always put her children on the very top of her priority. Yes, she is my mom.

I don't have any great story of my mother to share with you, but every single little thing she did just matter to me.

Lurve u mommy

Some people might just shut his mother out from his world, not knowing that he means the world to her. Be grateful that you could still celebrate the mother's day with your mom, cause someone out there might not.
